Travis Kelce’s barber, Patrick Regan, has revealed some beautiful new details regarding the NFL star’s connection with Taylor Swift.
During an interview on the Your Day Off Podcast, Regan, 34, a longtime friend of Kelce, was asked what it’s like to spend time with the 14-time Grammy winner Swift.
Regan added, “It’s sort of nice to watch since I know her as a person,” of Swift, adding, “She’s extremely interested in what you’re saying. “She does not act like the world’s most famous celebrity.”
“She’s a very nice person, and she’s a good girlfriend to my friend, so it’s pretty cool, and it doesn’t seem too crazy to me,” Kelce’s longtime barber said.
“However, things have changed” since the pair started getting acquainted, Regan observed, noting Kelce’s increased security precautions, such as relocating to a new house in Kansas City. “So things have changed for me; now I have to drive further,” Regan said.
Kelce is well-known for having his inner group near him, whether traveling with him abroad or cheering him on at Arrowhead Stadium. Regan said that since the tight end started dating Swift, some of the crew’s typical rituals have altered.
“Travis is one of my brothers, so I used just to sleep at his house every weekend,” Regan recalled. “Things have changed slightly now, but it’s cool to see.”
“I’m happy for him and happy to see the stardom that he’s getting,” Regan said of Kelce, whom he characterized as “just a normal guy” and “a regular dude.”
Before moving the conversation from Kelce to Swift, the podcast hosts playfully questioned Regan, “When’s your wedding?”
Kelce’s barber chuckled and said, “Hopefully soon. “That would be enjoyable.”
When the presenters asked Regan “how many plus one requests” he’d had for the hypothetical future nuptials, he said, “We’ll see when they announce the wedding.”
Just before Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl in February, Regan said that Swift had seen him trim the NFL star’s hair in Kansas City and was a great admirer of Kelce’s characteristic fade.
“Taylor loves the haircut,” Regan told Fox News. “She has watched me cut his hair a bunch of times and always compliments it after.”
Kelce began working with Regan 6 years ago when the tight end messaged the barber on Instagram to make an appointment while training in Florida, where Regan is located. Since that fateful encounter, Regan has been to Kansas City every week of the NFL season to trim Kelce’s hair.
