Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Hits Edinburgh: Stuns Crowd with Unexpected ‘Crazier’ Mashup

Taylor Swift continues to surprise her fans with surprising mashups on her Eras Tour

This time, the 34-year-old Bad Blood singer stunned the Scots with a performance that fused her 2023 single All of the Girls You Loved Before with Hannah Montana’s 2009 smash hit Crazier.

Meanwhile, Swift informed the audience at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium—as she performed the mashup acoustically on piano—that knowing this next song at all would give them bonus points since it is really, very old.

The sentimental moment occurred during the surprise song section, in which she plays two songs or mashups of songs acoustically on piano and guitar every night of the Eras Tour.

Other mashups for night two in Edinburgh included “The Bolter” from 2024’s The Tortured Poets Department and “Getaway Car” from 2017’s Reputation.

The celebrity was given a warm welcome to Edinburgh earlier this week when the bagpipe ensemble Reel Time Pipe Band sang Swift’s 2008 song “Love Story” in the same stadium where she would later perform, as shown in a TikTok video released by local news station Forth 1 News.

Scotland’s First Minister John Swinney also joined the celebration, congratulating the “Cruel Summer” singer and describing the temporary renaming of nearby Loch Tay to “Loch Tay Tay” in the star’s honor as “just fabulous” in a video message uploaded on X.

“I really hope she has the chance to go and see Loch Tay —or, should I say, Loch Tay Tay—because it is the most beautiful part of Scotland,” remarked Swinney. “She’ll get a really warm welcome here, and I know all of the Swifties will be so exhilarated by her presence in Scotland.”

This is only Swift’s second Scottish concert schedule; her sold-out performance at a Glasgow venue in June 2015 was part of the 1989 World Tour. The Eras Tour dates will be her second visit to the country.

“I happen to love Scottish people, personally,” the singer told the Glasgow audience in 2015, only a month after making her relationship with Scottish producer Calvin Harris public with an appearance on the Billboard Music Awards red carpet.

Swift also disclosed her Scottish background to the crowd during the 2015 event, citing an email she got from her father, Scott Swift, before the performance.

“The subject line said, ‘Tell Scotland this,'” Swift remembered. “The whole body of the email was like, ‘Our whole family is from Scotland and pretty much nowhere else, so you have to tell them.'”

Swift’s return to Edinburgh follows a two-night engagement in Lyon, France, where she delivered her three-and-a-half-hour act despite heavy rain for most of the first concert.
