According to Entertainment Week, the new episodes start four years after Season 1’s finale, and her character Nadia and Alan have managed to break free from the time loop. She even referred to the season as an “It’s a wild journey,” he remarked, referring to the puzzle box. It’s in-depth and out-of-the-box.”

That may sound a little ambiguous, but it’s been confirmed that, rather than a time loop, time travel will be an element of the tale this time. “When we must sift through our pasts via an unforeseen time portal hidden in one of Manhattan’s most iconic locations,” EW said, “the two uncover a fate far terrible than dying .” According to the first teaser trailer, one of New York City’s most venerable institutions, the subway, is set to double as a time machine for poor, unwitting Nadia.
