“The Kardashians” has returned for its fifth season, and tensions between the families are already rising.
On the May 23 episode, Khloé Kardashian, Scott Disick, and Kris Jenner talk about Caitlyn Jenner’s appearance in the documentary series “House of Kardashians.” Khloé shares her dissatisfaction with what her former stepparent stated about their family.
“Whoever has been calling people that have either once been in our lives or are in our lives to do the documentary and no one has agreed to do it—except for Caitlyn,” Khloé claims in the interview.
The trio then sees the promo for Sky Documentaries, which aired in the United Kingdom on October 8, 2023, and will be streamed on Peacock on November 16, 2023. The documentary’s audio states, “Kris wanted to be more than just a housewife.”
Kris responds, “Well, shoot me.” I aspired to be more than simply a homemaker. Okay, so… kill me.
Back in her session, Khloe says Caitlin “is completely free to do whatever she wants.” I find it weird that she would agree to make a documentary that, I believe, isn’t attempting to present us in the best possible light. I know she wouldn’t appreciate that about herself.”
Kim Kardashian expresses her sentiments regarding Caitlyn’s participation, stating she received “so many” SMSs asking her, “Doesn’t it hurt your feelings that this is what your stepdad says about you?”
Kim had a different take, telling the cameras that it didn’t damage her emotions since she had “such a great stepdad who raised me.”
She claims that nothing Caitlyn stated in the documentary changed her perspective on her life.
The debate between Kris, Scott, and Khloé continues, with Khloé claiming that Caitlyn “always made” her parents seem harsh. Scott, on his end, mentioned how Kris would continue to assist Caitlyn after their divorce.
“This was my dad for 24 years, like, it hurts me too,” Khloé adds, remembering how the two would lie in bed and watch “Unsolved Mysteries” together.
Kris and Caitlyn were married from 1991 to 2015. They are Jennier’s parents, Kendall and Kylie. Through her past marriages, Caitlyn has been a parent to many children, including Cassandra Marino, Brody, Brandon, and Burt Jenner.
“House of Kardashian” is a three-part documentary series that explores the Kardashian family’s enterprise.
According to the description, it delves into “their rise, reach, and the cost that comes with having Kardashian-level fame.” The documentary series features Caitlyn Jenner’s comments as well as “first-hand testimony from some of those within the Kardashian-Jenner inner circle.”
Caitlyn would continue to discuss her role in “House of Kardashian” and her connection with Kris and their family during interviews.
“Kris and the others decided not to become engaged in it. And then they came to me, and I responded, “Yes.” Why? I want the children to be portrayed appropriately. As a father, I could not be more proud of my children’s work ethic. “They all work extremely hard,” she told the Associated Press in October 2023.
Not only that, but the ex-athlete revealed their breakup on “This Morning” in the same month.
“Listen, Kris, I hardly ever communicate with you anymore. I am aware that it is sad. Sophia Hutchins is my manager and she oversees everything when it comes to communication. “So she engages in conversation with them,” Caitlyn said. “On the Kardashian side, it’s true that having a large family brings you closer to some members than others.”
Caitlyn also said that she was “much closer” to the Jenner side. In the same interview, she explained why she made the docuseries and how proud she is of her children and former stepchildren.
Following the interview, she tweeted, “Don’t believe clickbait or tabloid headlines. I created ‘House of Kardashian’ to protect my family, and I spoke very highly of my children and Kris—the genius behind it all—with whom I had 22 wonderful years.”
