In her speech, the actress warmly thanked her family and playfully acknowledged her long-term friend, Taylor Swift, with a sly reference.
Stone referenced “Bigger Than the Whole Sky” from Swift’s album, Midnights, which had won a Grammy.
Speaking on the occasion of her accolade, Stone remarked, “Just the other evening, the panic was overtaking me, quite visibly too, as it often does. The thought that an event of this magnitude could happen was looming in my mind, and Yorgos advised me, ‘You need to remove yourself from the equation.'”
She continued, “And, most importantly, my daughter, who’s going to be three in three days and has turned our lives into technicolor. I love you bigger than the whole sky, my girl.”
“He was correct in saying that it isn’t just about an individual. It’s about a group of people who unite for a purpose greater than themselves. This is what makes film production so rewarding. It’s the collective effort,” she added.
It fills me with immense pride to share this accolade alongside every actor, every member of the crew, and everyone who invested their passion, their attention to detail, and their genius in the creation of this movie.
