Loki Season 2 Release Date
While all of Marvel Studios’ Disney+ projects have been postponed, including Loki, the second season of Loki has not been pushed back nearly as much as some of its rival TV shows. Season 2 of Loki, which had been intended to premiere in the summer of 2023, will now premiere on October 5, 2023 (formerly October 6), with new episodes debuting weekly. Season 2 of Loki, like the first, will include six episodes, with new ones debuting every Thursday until the season finale on November 9. The second season of Loki will debut on Disney+ in 2023, after Secret Invasion in June but before Echo, which will drop at the end of the year in November.

Before this, the most significant development toward a second season of Loki occurred during the post-credits sequence in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the first film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Phase 5 era, which saw the reunion of Loki and Owen Wilson’s Mobius M. Mobius, who had previously met Majors’ Victor Timely in the early 20th century. This indicated that Loki season 2, which has officially been assigned a premiere date of October 5, 2023, would involve more time travel hijinks, showing the TVA pair researching Kang the Conqueror and his variations across history.

With the confirmed appearance of one of Kang’s variants, Victor Timely, it seems likely that the second season will delve deeper into the impact Sylvie’s death had on the MCU as a whole, weaving together the individual stories of the Loki season 1 cast with the overarching story of Kang and his offshoots.
Deadpool 3 may include the TVA in Phase 6 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The second season of Loki might, therefore, provide the groundwork for Ryan Reynolds’s seamless integration into the MCU.
Loki’s He Who Remains Is the Multiverse Saga’s New Thanos
Season 1 of Loki established He Who Remains as the TVA’s mastermind and a version of Kang the Conqueror. Kang is a time-traveling villain who often threatens the survival of the planet and causes problems for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes. Since the next major crossover event in the MCU is titled Avengers: The Kang Dynasty, it’s safe to assume that Kang is the new Thanos in the Multiverse Saga. This was established in Loki Season 1, and Season 2 will undoubtedly expand upon it, possibly setting up even more variants for the future.
