Prime Video’s big smash superhero series The Boys spawned the animated anthology Diabolical, but the forthcoming Gen V will be the first live-action, entirely in-continuity spinoff set in the same universe. The program centers on a new generation of teenagers who have discovered that their talents were not gifts from god or nature but rather from an injection of the Vought Corporation’s Compound V. It features the same irreverent comedy, gory battles, and stunning turns as the original. Only this time, it’s a collegiate production with a whole new group of actors.
The program centers on the made-up Godolkin University and stars Jaz Sinclair and Chance Perdomo, who previously starred together in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina as Marie Moreau and André, respectively. An institution where notoriety is at least as essential as attendance. Patrick Schwarzenegger plays Luke, the university’s literal Golden Boy, and the other actors in the cast are Maddie Phillips as Cate, who has the ability to “push” people mentally, Derek Luh and London Thor as Jordan, a non-binary shapechanger, and Lizze Broadway as Emma, who has the ability to shrink to microscopic sizes.
Not just that! Jessie T. Usher as A-Train, Colby Minfie as Ashley Barrett, Claudia Doumit as Victoria Neuman, P.J. Byrne as Adam Bourke, Chace Crawford as The Deep, and Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy will all make cameos in the spinoff, like they did in The Boys. Despite the latter being shelved after the finale of Season 3 of The Boys.
Let it suffice to say that any fan of The Boys would be drooling over this show like Terror over a nutsack. Prime Video may have another smash on its hands, what with the show’s successful blend of superheroes and adolescent drama (hat tip to Harlan Coben’s Shelter and The Summer I Turned Pretty).

When can I watch Generation V on Amazon Instant Video?
The first three episodes will be available on Prime Video starting on Thursday, August 28 at 8:00 p.m. ET. Prime Video has now admitted that its premiere nights for new episodes are Thursdays rather than the previously claimed Fridays. It’s about time!
