On Tuesday, August 27, British rock legends Oasis—fronted by brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher—officially announced their highly anticipated reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25. The tour will bring the band back to the stage for the first time in 16 years, with a series of stadium shows across the U.K. and Ireland set for next summer.
This announcement comes nearly 15 years after Oasis disbanded in 2009 following a well-publicized argument between the Gallagher brothers backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. In their statement, Oasis declared, “The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.” The band also shared an Instagram post affirming, “This is it, this is happening.”
The tour will kick off on July 4 and 5 at the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. From there, they’ll head to Manchester’s Heaton Park for four dates on July 11, 12, 19, and 20. The tour continues with four performances at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium on July 25 and 26, and August 2 and 3, followed by two shows at Edinburgh’s Murrayfield Stadium on August 8 and 9. The tour will conclude with two nights at Dublin’s Croke Park on August 16 and 17.
In addition to the tour announcement, Oasis will release a Deluxe 30th Anniversary Edition of their seminal album Definitely Maybe on August 30, celebrating three decades since the band’s debut album dropped on August 29, 1994. The band also hinted at expanding their tour to other continents beyond Europe later in the year.
Formed in Manchester in 1991, Oasis became known for massive hits like “Wonderwall,” “Stop Crying Your Heart Out,” “Champagne Supernova,” and “Don’t Look Back in Anger.” They headlined Glastonbury Festival in 1995 and 2004 and have amassed over 12 billion streams to date.
The band had been teasing the reunion for days, with a cryptic social media post earlier in the week displaying the date August 27, 2024, and the time 8 a.m. Liam Gallagher also fueled speculation with a post on X (formerly Twitter) on August 25, stating, “I never did like that word FORMER.”
Tickets for Oasis Live ’25 will go on sale on August 31 at 9 a.m. local time (4 a.m. ET), and 8 a.m. local time in Ireland.
