In an exclusive interview, the 29-year-old rapper shares insights about her inaugural headlining tour, the Hot Girl Summer Tour, and the overwhelming support she felt from her fans every night during the performances.
“I always knew I had support, but experiencing it live every night was something else. Seeing those arenas packed and so many shows sold out was just incredible,” Megan shares.
“Everyone was dancing, twerking, and singing along to every song. It felt like a huge family reunion. My fans and I, we’re like a bunch of cousins coming together for a good time,” adds the Grammy winner.
Megan Thee Stallion’s Hot Girl Summer Tour kicked off on May 14 in Minneapolis and wrapped up in August in Chicago.
GloRilla joined the tour as the opening act for the North American leg, while Ms Banks took on the role for the European leg.
While the “Savage” singer expresses her eagerness to hit the road again soon, she acknowledges that she is currently “resting” after the intense physical demands of touring.
“Literally, I was in a squat position for 90 minutes every single day,” Megan laughs. “The cardio was no joke.”
Megan, who recently announced her new partnership with Pepsi, is now preparing for her next big role as the host of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. She promises the event will be “so iconic.”
