The Rio+20 Earth Summit: June 20-22, 2012
World Leaders will meet at the United Nations Rio+20 Conference on Sustainable Development, otherwise known as the Earth Summit, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. What is the Future You Want?
‘Date With History’ is an opportunity for young people from around the globe to inspire leaders and decision-makers to act boldly and urgently on key issues impacting the future of our planet. People age 13 to 30 uploaded video speeches telling the world about the “future we want.” The online public voted right here for 22 finalists at least 3 from each region of the world.
A diverse jury of prominent celebrities, environmental activists and thought leaders selected one winner out of the finalists. Our winner from New Zealand, Brittany, will travel to Rio de Janeiro to participate in the summit and to share her vision. She needs your support and she wants to hear your ideas too!
