Taylor Swift announces end of Eras Tour at 100th show

“Many of you are asking, ‘How are you going to celebrate the 100th show?'” And for me, celebrating the 100th gig means that this is the first time I’ve ever confessed to myself that this tour is going to finish in December as if that’s it,” Swift told the crowd. “And that feels like so far away from now, but then again, it feels like we just played our first show on this tour, because you have made this so much fun for us.”

In March of 2024, after its announcement in November of 2022, the Eras tour got underway. In December 2023, it became the highest-grossing tour of all time, as well as the first to make at least $1 billion.

Millions of fans endured what Swift described as a bear assault in order to acquire tickets to at least one event, even if it meant going to another country, while some were able to attend hundreds of gigs. The live event, which was divided into portions to commemorate practically every record Swift has made in her career, was released as a concert video in October 2023.

“I believe that this trip has really become my whole existence. It has literally taken over everything. “I think I used to have hobbies, but I don’t remember what they were,” Swift concluded. “Because when I’m not on stage, all I do is sit at home and attempt to come up with smart acoustic song mashups and consider what you would like to hear.

When I’m not on stage, I daydream of being back there with you. And you’ve done so much to be here with us, right? You prepared what you were going to wear, learned songs, arrived here, worked out parking, and figured out transportation.”

She went on to say, “I want to spend the 100th show just thinking about that and living in this moment with you—and being here with you.” Just know that I appreciate every single effort you’ve made to be there when this tour hits triple digits of concerts. “So, thank you.”

Swift has 52 more gigs scheduled from now until December, including dates in England, Poland, Austria, the United States, and Canada.

Swift had earlier characterized the tour as: “the most exhausting, all-encompassing, but most joyful, most rewarding, and most wonderful thing that has ever happened in my life.” This was her message before she played “All Too Well (10 Minute Version).”
