‘A Date With History’ was an opportunity for young people from around the globe to inspire leaders and decision-makers to act boldly and urgently on key issues impacting the future of our planet. Launched Spring of 2012 by TckTckTck together with our partners at Climate Nexus and NRDC, we encouraged global youth ages 13 to 30 to upload video speeches telling the world about the “Future We Want.”

Through the votes of their peers online and a diverse jury of prominent celebrities, environmental activists and thought leaders, one inspiring young visionary was selected to attend the Rio Earth Summit and address the leaders assembled.

Mobli™ is a mobile photo and video sharing app. Users can share moments and see the world through other people’s eyes via subject-based channels – like people, places and topics. When a photo or video gets shared on Mobli it is automatically placed in a corresponding channel, allowing individuals to enjoy personally customized streams of visual information.

You can upload a message to our ‘Date with History’ winner, Brittany using Mobli. It’s easy, but first you need the app for the iPhone, Android or Blackberry:




Step 1. Install the app and register with Mobli.
 Step 2. Use your mobile device to record your message
Step 3. Share it on Mobli and include @datewithhistory in the subject.
